PM2/PM3 Petroleum Mechanics

Absolute Petroleum, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is a national leader in innovative petroleum services, supporting the fuel infrastructure needs of businesses across Canada. As Manitoba’s largest petroleum contractor, we specialize in the installation, maintenance, and service of petroleum systems, working on projects ranging from new builds to full-service station upgrades and emergency repairs.

We are currently hiring a Petroleum Mechanic 2 / 3 to join our growing team.

If you’re passionate about your trade, hold a CPCA Petroleum Mechanic Certification, and have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in underground tank installations and removals, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, great with clients, and open to travel for projects throughout Canada.


What You’ll Do:
  • Install and remove aboveground and underground fuel systems

  • Maintain and service petroleum equipment and leak detection systems

  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for on-site implementation

  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting

  • Maintain excellent client relationships to encourage referrals and repeat business

  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and OH&S standards

  • Collaborate with site supervisors, petroleum managers, and project managers


What You Bring:
  • CPCA Petroleum Mechanic Certification (PM2, PM3)

  • 3+ years of experience in petroleum system installation and service

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Comfortable with travel and remote work across Canada

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and completing manual labor
